As the Diamond Jubilee procession moved through London, an important stop was at St. Paul's Cathedral. As Victoria, at 78, had trouble walking, a religious service of thanksgiving was conducted in front of the cathedral, beside her carriage.
In this hand-tinted lantern slide the crowd outside the cathedral can be seen greeting Queen Victoria, who is seated beneath a white parasol in her carriage.
A statue of Queen Victoria can be seen near the right-hand edge of the photograph.
