Mr. Lincoln at C-Span

Friday February 29, 2008
For the Lincoln Bicentennial, the folks at C-Span have put together a spectacular collection of Lincoln resources. And as good as the Lincoln 200 Years site is, the network doesn't even begin its planned Lincoln programming until April.

For now, a visitor can view an online library of classic C-Span programming related to Lincoln, including interviews with a number of noted Lincoln authors; video features on the Lincoln presidency; and a truly magnificent Lincoln image gallery.

And if you want to enjoy Lincoln's own writing, there's a great section of Lincoln debates and speeches, which contain the complete texts of the Lincoln-Douglas debates, the speech at Cooper Union, both inaugural addresses, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the Gettysburg Address.

Beginning in April, C-Span will feature a Lincoln Bicentennial program on the first Saturday evening of each month. Stay tuned, history lovers!
